How We Work

Down to earth.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Step 1

On-Site Consultation, Initial Feasibility Studies and Preliminary Site Analyses

The first step in the process is a meeting on your property where we can become familiar with your needs, goals, and dreams for your exterior space. During this initial meeting, we will make a preliminary assessment of the property to determine if the scope of the desired work aligns with the landscape features observed. Often, there are elements present, both seen and unseen that can impact a potential design, and have long lasting impacts upon hardscape installations. Our initial assessment will bring those to light, and help you understand if, and how they might impact your vision. Also during this initial meeting, we will inquire what your anticipated project timeframe might be. At this meeting, we will also do our best to provide you with very preliminary dates if you elect to continue with your project. You can expect a design phase (Step 2), a build phase (Step 3), and an estimated project completion window.

After the initial phone conversation to determine project feasibility, we will schedule an appointment at your home where the company owner Robert Manning will personally do the initial consultation, cursory feasibility study and preliminary site analysis to begin turning your dream space into a reality.

Step 2

Design Phase

Upon acceptance of our Design Contract, we will conduct any additional field surveys necessary to provide base details for your design. We will work closely with you through a number of mediums to translate your ideas or concepts into a feasible master plan for construction. Robert and a member of the design team will generally be able to return within two weeks with a first draft design in the form of a stunning 2D, or hi-definition 3D visual illustration (a computer-generated virtual concept) to provide you with the best visual translation as to how your amazing design will look when installed in the landscape. At this time any final revisions may be made prior to final design signoff by the client.

Step 3

Build Phase

We understand having a portion of your yard "under construction" may be a little inconvenient and scary for some. You have my word that we will do everything within our power to make these impacts as minor, and pleasant as possible while still working efficiently and effectively. You can expect that we will communicate with you throughout this entire phase regarding the site activities and installation schedule. Robert will personally be at your job site working with, and mentoring our experienced and professional crew to ensure the final project is of the highest quality, delivered on time and on budget. The job site will always be cleaned of debris, made safe and secure, with hazardous areas minimized or flagged for safety, and all tools and equipment secured before leaving at end of day.

Step 4

Maintenance

Our specialty is design and installation done with the attention to detail that only a craftsman can provide, and we both share a vested interest in ensuring your new landscape stays as beautiful and functional as the day it is completed. As such, we are happy to provide any annual maintenance required, or we can refer you to a trusted allied professional specializing in ongoing seasonal maintenance.
